Which warranty, service or maintenance plans will apply to my vehicle?

Depending on which vehicle you buy, any or all of these may apply.
Different plans cover different vehicles and the dealer from whom you buy the vehicle will be the only one to give you full details on what will be applicable or available to you – depending on the vehicle itself.

Should I be buying a New or Pre-Owned vehicle?

Step1:

You will need to review your current and immediate future's personal and financial circumstances.

Step2:

Determine your vehicle requirements:

• Cost: How much can you spend on your vehicle?
• Aesthetics: What interior and exterior look and feel do you want.
• Safety: What vehicle safety features must be included? E.g. airbags, ESP, ABS etc… 
• Fuel consumption: Consider the average fuel consumption in relation to your travelling budget.
• Warranty, Maintenance or Service Plan: What is already included with the vehicle purchase price?
• Comfort: Does the car have electric windows and mirrors, auto lights etc…
• Performance: For what purpose do you need the vehicle? The purpose will indicate the performance level needed.

Important documents when buying a vehicle

What documentation should I take with to the dealership when I want to buy a vehicle?

Fully employed private individuals:

• Your valid and original drivers licence
• Your original ID
• Proof of your residential address, i.e. water and electricity bill not older than 3 months
• Your banking details
• Proof of income, i.e. latest payslips and/or bank statements from your bank and stamped by the bank (3 months)

Companies:

• CK Documents/CM29
• Valid and original certified copies of member/director(s) ID’s
• 4 months original bank statements issued by the bank and stamped
• FICA document for the company and for all members/directors not older than 3 months
• A letter on a company letterhead signed and authorising the proxy of the company to sign any relevant documentation pertaining to the registration of the vehicle
• Company to be registered and issued with a traffic register number from the licensing department
• Latest audited financials and management accounts for the last six months
• Valid and original CIPRO certificate indicating that the company is still active

Sole proprietor:

• Valid ID and driver’s licence
• 4 months original bank statements issued by the bank and stamped
• Letter from a registered accountant stating owner of the company and average net earnings for the last six months
• FICA document not older than 3 months

Trade-In:

• Copy/Original of Natis Certificate (Registration documents)
• Valid settlement letter from Financial Institution
